Hello MESA Day ON SITE SCIENCE Student Competitors (and advisors)!

We’re happy that you have registered to participate in our MESA Day Onsite Event. You have been identified as the one member of your team who will compete in: Onsite Science, Equity in Science Gameshow.

Here are a few important updates about this competition, PLEASE READ EVERYTHING:

  1. Terry Ramirez and I are the Event Coordinators and will see you in our scheduled Zoom meeting on the big day. In the meantime, feel free to email us with any questions or concerns (TRamirez@nmmesa.org, nkunz@nmmesa.org)

  1. Our event will take place NEXT WEEK on Tuesday, April 13th for Middle Schools, and Thursday, April 15th for High Schools. Make sure to watch for the Zoom link that we will send out in a separate email before the event.
    1. We will begin at 10:00 AM, and have scheduled plenty of time for instructions, questions, and a practice round before we begin the competition. The competition will include three rounds of questions, 15 minutes per round.

  1. During our competition, we will be using the online platform called Gimkit. If you aren’t familiar with how Gimkit works, please check out the following TUTORIAL and PRACTICE ROUND:

  1. You don’t need to do other things to prepare for the big day. Just make sure you know how to earn as much money as possible on Gimkit. If you like science and know lots about it, and know how to read some basic graphs and tables, you’ll have a great time!

Please contact us with any questions, and we’ll see you soon.
