Betty Chancey
Regional Coordinator
Betty Chancey began her tenure with NM MESA as the first Regional Coordinator for nine schools in the newly created Southeast Region which now has sixteen schools. Prior to working for NM MESA, Betty taught Math at Goddard High School and was an adjunct Math teacher at ENMU-Roswell. Prior to teaching, she was the Director of Financial Aid at Eastern New Mexico University – Roswell. She received her BS and MS from Eastern New Mexico University in Education with a minor in Math. MESA allows her to combine her Administrative skills, teaching experience and her love of working with students. She is passionate about NM MESA the staff, MESA Advisors and students and the importance of what we do!!!
She loves to read and travel. She and her husband, Sonny, love spending time with their two daughters, son-in-laws, granddaughter and Great Grandkids Channing and Harlee! They are the light of their lives.
