Kim Allen Scheerer
Regional Coordinator
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science from Alma College in Michigan and a Masters of Applied Science, Marine Biology from James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. She is a former PADI Dive Master and volunteer at Albuquerque Aquarium’s Invertebrate Touchpool. Prior to joining the MESA team, Kim worked as an Educational Coordinator along the middle Rio Grande valley and with various environmental education field programs in the Southeast and Caribbean.
She defines her strengths as the biological sciences and creative engineering, but is interested in and enthusiastic about related STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART & Mathematics) education. Kim is currently enrolled as a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership program at UNM’s College of Education & Human Sciences. She enjoys water experiences, picnics, gardening, meandering with her rambunctious dog and traveling!
