Through the week of June 3-7, hundreds of teachers from around the state come together for a week of Computer Science professional development (PD) put on by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) of New Mexico and hosted at UNM’s Centennial Engineering. Courses featured Arduino coding, Project GUTS, Code.org, Art with CS and more! Learn how to get involved with CSTA here.
NM CS PD week goals include:
- Expand the capacity of our NM teachers through high quality CS education PD
- Convene teachers at the same time and place to allow for: 1) networking and cross-pollination of ideas, 2) sharing info from each other’s strands, & 3) gaining knowledge of other CS education options for themselves and colleagues
- Build a network of organizations and schools ready to support CS education in NM.
