NM MESA regional coordinators Terry Ramirez (SW) and Kim Scheerer (CI) traveled to Denver, Colorado for the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) conference in March, 2024.
They presented a workshop titled Hands-On Equity: Making STEM Education Manageable! The workshop featured project-based learning tips and tricks, as well as a Science Buddies mini-trebuchet build. The workshop concepts were highlighted in the MESA Day 2023 competition via the throwback prepared design – the trebuchet!
