Central Inner advisors enjoy building a groundwater model!

Educators in the Central Inner (CI) region met at Tiguex Park in late July to regroup, reconnect and STEM it UP! The CI Regional Advisory Meeting (RAM) was the first time many MESA educators got a chance to engage in person since the spring of 2020. The event was held at the park in the morning and at the NM Tech Albuquerque office, which hosts the NM MESA state office, in the afternoon.
Teachers had a chance to create and take a groundwater model while they learned about aquifers and water contamination. The festive park session ended with us lauching water bottle rockets before we broke for lunch. The group finished up with an Astropoetry experience at the state office in the afternoon. It was great to see our NM MESA teachers in person and we wish everyone a safe and healthy back-to-school effort!
