Students from Chaparral Middle School and nex+Gen Academy traveled to Tucson, Arizona with their MESA advisors last week for the MESA USA National Engineering Design Competition (NEDC). MESA programs from around the United States competed at and stayed on the University of Arizona campus (Go Wildcats!). Ancillary adventures included a trip to Biosphere 2, Top Golf, Saguaro National Park East and Kartchner Caverns State Park.
Chaparral Middle School took first place overall and nex+Gen Academy placed forth overall in the high school division. Competition was tough; details are listed below.
