MESA staff work to sort and package produce for distribution throughout the state.

New Mexico MESA staff shared our efforts this season with our first annual Holiday Give-back! On December 12th, the day before our quarterly meeting, our staff met at Roadrunner Foodbank in Albuquerque to help sort and package produce. Working with other local volunteers, we managed to prepare more than 5,000 pounds of food to share throughout the state.
Roadrunner Foodbank works with a partnership network that helps to feed more than 70,000 New Mexicans weekly. The foodbank, like NM MESA, has a history of working with kids and families within the state for more than 35 years. It felt great to focus our service learning values together as a team to make a difference for New Mexicans this holiday!
