Welcome to the 2022 NM MESA Middle School Math Event April 8, 2022.
This event will take place in two parts.
Part 1 is a Scavenger Hunt. The form for the Scavenger Hunt located here. The form is timed to shut off at exactly 12:00 pm. Have your submission in by then. Each task in the Scavenger Hunt requires an answer to be typed in, or copy and pasted. You can also handwrite out your work take a picture and submit it. For example: Find or write 2+2 in story form. Provide your answer here – Anna purchased 2 apples and 2 oranges. How many pieces of fruit does Anna have? Anna has 4 pieces of fruit. You are allowed to use the internet, or any textbook/literature available to you at your site. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED ANY ASSISTANCE FROM YOUR TEACHER, FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR FELLOW STUDENTS.

Part 2, The Build, involves using the packets you received from your teacher. DO NOT OPEN THIS PACKET UNTIL GIVEN DIRECTIONS at 12:30 pm. You will be required to show us the unopened packages on camera in order to participate in the second part of the Math Event. You will have from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm to complete the second part of the challenge and upload pictures of your submission. The submission form is located here. The form for Part 2 will be timed to shut off at 3:00 pm.
