Upload Transcript and Report Card

Upload a copy of your unofficial transcript and a copy of your report card from the most recent grading period of the 12th grade year (semester) to your application. College transcripts, or letters from course professors, must be submitted if the information is not on the high school transcript AND if courses are STEM courses. NOTE: if your Fall Semester grades/classes are reflected on your transcript you do not have to upload a separate grade report.

You must be on track to complete your graduation requirements of credits of Math and Science. In addition, you must complete 4 credits of STEM coursework from the following subject areas: Science, Computer Science, Engineering, CAD, Technology, etc. AND maintain a 2.0 GPA. “F” Grades or anything that does not award a course credit do not count towards meeting this requirement. “D” grades count towards meeting the credit requirement, but points are not given on the application for the course.

Letter of Recommendation

Upload a letter of recommendation from your MESA Advisor, MESA Regional Coordinator, a teacher, school administrator, club sponsor, coach, or a leader from a community program you participate in. The letter should contain your name, their name and relation to you. It should include their testimonial as to why you should be selected for this trip and how their experience in working with you identifies you as a student leader. This is the one item that can be emailed directly to anita@nmmesa.org if that is preferred by the writer for privacy reasons.

Questions

Each question will count towards the overall point total and each answer should be 150-350 words in length. Questions will be graded on content, overall quality, and presentation. These will be graded by outside readers to ensure fairness.
