North Rallies will be filled with STEAM and fun “food themed” on-site competitions for all students. This year there will be two separate rally events but with the same format: High school rally will take place February 21, 2019 and Middle school rally will happen February 28, 2019, both 8am-2pm.
These rallies will cover all STEAM categories through competitions to allow a variety of opportunity for students to showcase their skills as individuals but also as team players! In addition, rallies will encourage leadership and teamwork, which in turn help prepare students for MESA Day Competition in April.
The content of the competitions is brought together by a collaboration of local STEAM Professionals and volunteers such as the Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge, Math Circles Collaborative of New Mexico, New Mexico Highlands Chemistry Department and a few other local farms and organizations.
