Join various NM MESA Central Inner (CI) schools for our 2019 fall Rallies. Students will participate in STEM activities with innovation, creativity and teamwork at the core of the day’s activities!
Location: Rio Grande Nature Center (RGNC) State Park Education Building
Time: 9:45 am – 1:15 pm
# of students/school: up to 20
Transportation: paid for by NM MESA, bus-pooling preferred, UBER or LYFT is good for Abq. based schools, please notify Kim of any carpooling student drivers and she will get them a giftcard!
Date sequence: appropriate costuming preferred!
Thursday, October 31st: all APS schools; Albuquerque Bulldogs, Del Norte Knights, Manzano Monarchs, nex+Gen Academy Griffins and the Valley Vikings
Tuesday, November 5th: Los Lunas Tigers, Valencia Jaguars, Belen Eagles, South Valley Academy Dragons and the Amy Biehl Lions
Tentative Schedule:
- 9:50-10:10 am – students arrive, chat and name-tag up
- 10:10-10:30 am – introductions, objectives and resources
- 10:30-11:30 am – STEM work-time
- 11:30-12:15 pm – LUNCH break! ** bring your own
- 12:15-1:00 pm – STEM work-time & clean-up
- 1:00-1:25 pm – students participate in gallery walk, conversation & conclusion
- 1:30 – dismissal back to school
