SE and SW Region Attend Oil and Gas Education and Career Fair

91 high school juniors and seniors from across New Mexico visited Artesia to learn more about the workings of the state’s oil and gas industry at the New Mexico MESA (Math Engineering and Science Achievement) Oil and Gas Education and Career Day. SE and SW MESA students attended the Oil and Gas Day in Artesia, and toured and had workshops at Concho Resources, Devon Energy Corp, and Navajo Refining Company-Holly Frontier Companies. The schools, consisting of students from Goddard High School, Portales High School, Roswell High School, Artesia High School, Ruidoso High School, AV Early College, Cobre High School, Onate High School, Las Cruces High School, Deming High School, and Centennial High School, also participated in a pump-jack building competition.
