298 High School & Middle School students from SE & SW Regions attended the Ag Education Day provided by New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. The students learned about Agriculture, the importance of research, careers, and how agriculture impacts our everyday lives. Students were broken in 8 groups and rotated through 8 workshops- Animal Nutrition & Physiology, Metabolism, Satellites, food pathogens & Food safety, Anthropod Museum, Genetic Engineering Greenhouses & Ag in the classroom. Schools participated consist of Berrendo Middle School, Alamagordo High School, Holloman Middle School, Mt. View – Alamagordo, Carlsbad 6th Grade Academy, and Carlsbad Intermediate School.
