Congratulations to several of our statewide MESA programs, the VEX competition at UNM highlights teamwork, coding and mechanical engineering skills.
The competition at UNM this weekend was tough. There were 27 teams from across the state prepared to compete in the annual VEX challenge hosted by UNM School of Engineering. MESA programs from Amy Biehl High School, Garfield STEM Middle School and Gallup High School were among the competitors!
After some initial problems with the official scoring fields, the competition was underway. Teams worked to transport, toss and shove items across the field for points. School of Dreams Academy in Los Lunas had a great day, with their 6 teams present… one team was able to capture the win!
The VEX State Championship event will be held at NMSU in Las Cruces on March 4th. Find details and registration here.
