Carlsbad High School Cavebots Advance to VEX World Championship Robotics Competition

A team of New Mexico Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) students from Carlsbad High School competed at the inaugural New Mexico Vex Robotics Competition at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. High school students compete using their innovative robots designed to score the most points possible in qualification matches, elimination matches, and skills challenges. The Carlsbad team, CHS Cavebots, was recipient of the top Design Award and was one of two teams from New Mexico that advanced to the VEX Robotics World Championship in Anaheim, California in April.
