November 11, 2017, 9-3pm MathMovesU at UNM

MathMovesU, sponsored by Ratheon

6th-9th grade Middle and High School Students along the middle Rio Grande valley and extended regions of New Mexico are invited to register to attend this FREE 4th annual MathMovesU playshop event at the University of New Mexico Saturday, March 2nd 2019.  This event is organized by UNM School of Engineering Student Services, NM MESA Inc., & Raytheon.

STEM playshops (STEM = science, technology, engineering & mathematics) will introduce and engage students in teamwork and problem solving fun! Sixth through ninth grade students will also interact with UNM student mentors that want to share their skills regarding our high-tech, 21st-century society.  A tour of UNM facilities, breakfast snacks and a catered lunch will help make this a STEM-successful day for any student that is registered.

Location: The Centennial Engineering Center @ UNM

 Registered students, please check-in on the day of event: 9-9:30 am

9 am – 3 pm ♦ grades 6-11 ♦ FREE Parking Map HERE

Lunch will be organized for all registered students with MARIOS PIZZERIA, to include: pizza, salad, bread sticks & a vegetarian pasta options!


mesa imageThis UNM School of Engineering Student Services partnership includes special invitation to our NM MESA students from across the state!  The workshops are FREE and limited transportation can be provided by NM MESA for teachers that connect with their Regional Coordinators.  Eligible students at NM MESA schools can be encouraged to attend and/or sign up with their MESA advisors.  This will be recognized as a workshop, field trip and guest speaker event for NM MESA registered students.
